Limited License

MICHIGAN hereby grants to You a non-exclusive, non-transferable license right to use the Great First Eight Curriculum solely for non-commercial, educational purposes, without the right to sublicense such right.  For clarity, in your use of the materials you may:

  • Download and print student-facing materials (e.g., handwriting paper) for classroom use, but you must do so anew each year.
  • Print Wonder Books for individual classroom use. You are not required to reprint Wonder Books unless updates have been published. You agree to review Wonder Books for such updates at least once every two years.
  • Download copies of teacher-facing materials in portable document format (PDF) for the purpose of annotating them. However, you must re-download each year, as we expect to revise Materials each year based on feedback and new research studies. You may download family-facing materials (e.g., letters to families) for individual classroom use, but again must do so anew each year.

But you may not:

  • Make derivative works (as defined by U.S. Copyright law) or otherwise modify the Materials.
  • Copy or otherwise reproduce the Materials, either in whole or in part.
  • Distribute, disseminate, transfer, “mirror” to another server, or otherwise make available the Materials, in whole or in part.
  • Use the Materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer any software contained on the website or in the Materials or to access source code.
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the Materials.
  • Exercise any of MICHIGAN’s copyright rights in the Materials, other than expressly licensed herein, without prior written approval from MICHIGAN.
